About — Corinna Kitchen

Welcome

Senior Licensed Biodynamic Psychotherapist
Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant
…and for as long as I can remember, an Editor.

For more than twenty-five years I have been exploring one simple question — what allows us to return to our natural state of health, vitality and ease?

My Journey

Where it began

I grew up in Greater London with my sister Saskia, in a home where creativity was simply the air we breathed. My father is the artist Bert Kitchen and my mother is deeply creative too — from them we inherited an appreciation for the natural world, beauty, observation and making. Many childhood hours were spent drawing beside my dad as he crafted his surreal and magical worlds, or making clothes for my dolls as my mum made the most beautiful clothes for my sister and me.

Before entering the world of health and wellbeing I enjoyed a career in magazine publishing, working as Fashion Director at New Woman and later Fashion Editor at Country Living. Although I loved the creativity of publishing, I found myself increasingly drawn towards a deeper understanding of what makes us tick — not simply how we present ourselves to the world, but what lies beneath. What shapes us, what holds us back and what allows us to flourish.

Even the most beautiful clothes, homes or surroundings cannot bring lasting wellbeing if we don't feel at ease within ourselves.

Looking back, it wasn't a change of direction so much as a deepening of the same curiosity.

The Three Strands

Three disciplines
One intention

Individually, each is powerful. Woven together, they form an integrated approach — for the nervous system, the body, the mind and the deeper intelligence that governs our wellbeing.

Biodynamic
Psychotherapy

A somatic, body-centred approach that works with the body's own intelligence — its rhythms, impulses and self-regulating nature. The deepest, most foundational strand of the work — and the ground that all else sits on.

Ayurvedic
Living

The ancient science of life — guided by nature itself. Personalised to your unique constitution, Ayurveda offers practical, nourishing tools through food, rhythm and daily practice to restore balance at every level.

Pure Essential
Oils

Working through the meridian system as a form of vibrational medicine — a direct, immediate way to settle the nervous system and shift how you feel. Brilliant, enjoyable and immediate — and simple to bring into your life.

Although these may appear to be different paths, they all lead towards the same place — helping us come home and feel at ease in ourselves.

Universality & Empowerment

There is no one way
only what is appropriate for you

Lighting a candle — a quiet practice

This work is inherently adaptable, because it is guided by nature itself — not by rigid systems or formulas. At the heart of Ayurveda is the understanding that there is no one way. There is only what is appropriate for you.

Part of my work is helping you develop the sensitivity to read your own rhythms, needs and nature — and to move towards a more sovereign, connected way of living.

The thread through everything

An Edited Life

Before I ever became a therapist, I was an editor. Looking back, I realise I never stopped being one.

An editor doesn't simply gather information. They sift, question, refine and discover what is truly worth keeping.

Over the past twenty-five years I have brought that same editorial eye to the world of health and wellbeing. I have studied Biodynamic Medicine, Ayurveda, meditation, nutrition, yoga, breathwork and the therapeutic use of pure essential oils. Each has offered something valuable. I have gradually distilled what consistently creates the greatest transformation.

What I offer is not a collection of techniques. It is an edited body of work.

I have always been and always will be a lifelong learner. I continue to study, explore and be inspired by new ideas. Yet with each passing year my work becomes simpler, not more complicated.

Experience has taught me that profound change rarely comes from doing more. It comes from recognising what truly matters and gently letting the rest fall away.

Everything I offer has been shaped by that understanding.

Simple where it can be. Deep where it needs to be.

After all, our life experience is largely determined by how we feel

This work continues to evolve. Over the past two years a trusted circle has been exploring and piloting it alongside me — I am deeply grateful to everyone whose trust, reflections and encouragement have helped shape what it has become. In many ways the community helps shape what comes next.

If there is something you are looking for and cannot find, or a question you would like answered, I warmly invite you to write to me. I will do my best to offer some insight.

My professional home

The foundation & the weaving

In the early 2000s I met Mary Molloy — Principal of the Institute of Biodynamic Medicine — and experienced a series of biodynamic sessions myself. Nothing I had explored came close. It led me to an intensive four-year training in Biodynamic Psychology and Psychotherapy, with the great privilege of training directly with Dr Gerda Boyesen herself — the founder of Biodynamic Psychology — in the final years of her teaching life.

Over twenty-five years of clinical practice I have run Licensed Biodynamic Clinics in Wiltshire and Lewes and worked with Fiona Arrigo's renowned Arrigo Programme retreats — a relationship that continues today as an Arrigo Certified Practitioner. I now serve as a Director and Senior Fellow of the Institute of Biodynamic Medicine. This work remains the foundation beneath everything else I offer.

In 2020 I began an intensive immersion in Ayurveda — training as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant and studying Ayurvedic Nutrition and Cookery with Divya Alter in New York. Ayurveda revealed itself as the practical arm of everything I already knew: daily ways of living in harmony with our unique constitution and the rhythms of nature.

My love of pure essential oils blossomed through my mentorship with Elena Brower and deepened through advanced professional training in their application to acupoints of the meridian system. Over time the three strands naturally wove together — different expressions of one understanding: healing happens when we create the right conditions for the body's own natural intelligence to emerge.

The Aromatic Soul Journey grew from this integration — deepening into your true nature through pure essential oils on precise points of the body.

Whatever the doorway — a one-to-one session, an Ayurvedic consultation or the Aromatic Soul Journey — my intention is always the same: to create a calm, compassionate space where beneficial change can arise from within.

“Corinna's work is quite simply extra-ordinary, she has a gifted ability to talk directly to the soul and support a return to balance at the deepest level.”

Life Beyond My Work

I live in the beautiful market town of Lewes in East Sussex with my husband John, our son Ben and our mystic cat Minnie. When I am not working you will often find me cooking seasonal food, walking on the South Downs, singing with the Lewes Gospel Choir, tending the garden or simply enjoying time outdoors.

These simple pleasures remind me that wellbeing is rarely about adding more to our lives. It is about gently removing what stands in the way of our natural vitality.
